Wednesday Night

Several church members arrange to meet at the church at 3:00 and drive into our community--knocking on doors, inviting to church, and giving the Gospel. As part of the Great Commission, giving the Gospel to our "Jerusalem" is an important activity for any local church.

Jonathan Haas brings the Wednesday night message, and it is consistently a renewing time of studying the Bible. Beforehand, a brief time of music is given. In addition, our Wednesday service focuses on prayer. Ordinarily, it is the service in which we share our prayer requests and pray together, lifting up each other's burdens to the Lord.

Congregational Singing

"...teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." This command from the book of Colossians teaches the importance of the singing of God's people. Through congregational singing, everyone in attendance, regardless of talent or age, can participate in the worship of God through music.

Prayer and Praise

At Calvary, we take extra time on Wednesday nights to lift each other's burdens to the Lord and praise Him for the many things He is doing in all of our lives. 

Special Music

Again, music is a wonderful and ordained way to praise the Lord. A soloist or group of singers can be a special blessing through personal testimony and personality communicated through the pathway of biblical song.

Preaching

Preaching is the tool that God has chosen to spread the Gospel to the world and edify the Christian. Without preaching in all of its services, a church would be failing to take opportunities to evangelize the lost and edify the believers.
