Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church, we would love to hear from you!
Once again, faithful people gather to worship God on the Lord's Day, this time at 6:00 each Sunday evening. We spend a short time praising God through sound, Biblical music, and then dive right into the preaching of the Word of God. Assistant Pastor Dayton Haas ordinarily gives the Sunday Night message.
The members of our choir gather to practice the music they will be bringing in the Sunday morning and evening services.
Several men in the church gather to pray for the Lord's blessing and working in the lives of lost family and friends, church members, church programs, our country, and in the service.
Much like the morning service, there will be choir, congregational, and special music, followed by the preaching.Â
"...teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." This command from the book of Colossians teaches the importance of the singing of God's people. Through congregational singing, everyone in attendance, regardless of talent or age, can participate in the worship of God through music.
A choir is such a blessing to the church! As an organized group of believers specifically practiced in specific songs, the choir sings beautiful and lasting songs that make an impact on the congregation not only in the service, but throughout the week.
Again, music is a wonderful and ordained way to praise the Lord. A soloist or group of singers can be a special blessing through personal testimony and personality communicated through the pathway of biblical song.
Preaching is the tool that God has chosen to spread the Gospel to the world and edify the Christian. Without preaching in all of its services, a church would be failing to take opportunities to evangelize the lost and edify the believers.
